Raised in La Porte, and a proud graduate of La Porte schools, I’ve spent more than 30 years in the insurance industry, including 20 years working in insurance requests and marketing with Farmers Insurance before becoming a State Farm agent 12 years ago. When I explored becoming an agent, I considered several companies, but I chose State Farm because it consistently set the standard that others tried to match. The opportunity to open an office in my hometown made the decision even more meaningful. Today, I’m honored to serve the same community that helped shape me.

Giving back has always been an important part of my life. I created and continue to lead HELPS Mentoring (Help Empower La Porte Students), a local mentoring program that helps students feel seen, heard, and valued through one-on-one campus mentoring. I’m also a past Rotary Club president and remain active in local service efforts that support children, classrooms, and teachers. Over the years, I’ve been honored with the Distinguished Alumni Award from our school district, Rotarian of the Year, the Rotary Service Above Self Award, and Chamber of Commerce Volunteer of the Year recognition.
Family and community keep me grounded. My wife, Michele, has been a teacher here in La Porte for many years, and together we’ve enjoyed 35 years of marriage while raising three children and welcoming four grandbabies into our lives. At home, we share life with our cats, Charlie and Oscar.
When I’m away from the office, you’ll often find me on a hiking trail. I’ve explored more than 20 U.S. National Parks and completed long-distance hikes including the Camino de Santiago in Portugal and Spain and The Way of St. Patrick in Northern Ireland, which I most recently completed with my daughter.
